The Forest Feast is a children’s puzzle book I made in college. The premise: learn about an animal, try to guess what it eats, then put together a jigsaw puzzle of it’s hoped-for meal.
Stuart the Skunk
Stuart the Skunk is a wee bit lonely
it seems everyone would join him if only
he weren't so smelly at the slightest provoking
So all alone through the trees he is poking
for his favorite fruit, ripe and full of flavor
with a bannana and mango essence to savor.
This fruit comprises a most excellent pie
if you tasted a bite you'd surely know why
All sorts of critters endure the smell the flowers bring
that reminds one of roadkill every spring
Luckily the fruit does not resemble the flowers
so please summon all your botanical powers
and name the tree that our dear Stuart seeks
He will thank you with many heartfelt squeaks
